Howard Deighton is the chief lineman for New York State Gas & Electric, having worked with them since 1988. While Howard may not drive trucks for hisĀ profession, he certainly has a passion for them, and he always enjoyed attending various shows during his free time. He decided to purchase a truck of his own to bring to truck shows in the Northeast and in April 2015 he found this 1999 KW W-900L while he was searching. The truck was owned by Dykhuis Farms in Holland, MI and Howard knew it was the one he wanted right away! He went out and bought the truck and has been enjoying showing it off ever since with his wife Sue who attends the various shows with him. Howard wanted to thank Sue for all of her patience & support along the way and he hopes to have many more truck show excursions with her & his KW. He credits Mike Palmer of Dick Palmer & Sons, located in Honesdale, PA, for painting the truck and giving it its shine! Howard has dressed it up right with plenty of polished accessories and he wanted to thank Iowa Customs and the gang from Chrome Depot in Mantua, OH for all of the stainless & chrome they’ve supplied to him. Power comes from a CAT 3406 E , 2WS that’s rated at 550 HP and paired up with a 13 speed and a set of 3:90 rears. Howard’s KW has a clean & simple look to it that definitely turns heads at the shows he and Sue attend. This is one fine ’99 that’s enjoying retirement from the farm, thanks to Howard Deighton giving it a good home in NY. Howard says he & Sue plan on attending a number of shows in 2023, including our 6th Annual GEAR JAMMER Magazine Truck Show, so come check out his KW in person next July
