MARCH/APRIL 2024: JESSE & ERIN SHIREY
This 1996 International was originally purchased by Bob & Andrea Haubrick at Noerr’s International in Lewiston, PA the year it rolled off the assembly line. The Haubricks hauled loads for the U.S. Government and gave the truck the nickname of “Igor”. It was originally equipped with a 100″ sleeper, but after an unfortunate rollover accident, Igor was rebuilt in 2007 and the sleeper was upgraded to 190″. Bob sold the truck to Matt Will in 2017 and its current owner, Jesse Shirey, ended up finding it sitting next to a barn in 2022 – with weeds growing all around it. Jesse had a vision when he saw Igor and knew he had to have it! Over the next few months Jesse made Igor look like new, with the help of his dad & his wife Erin. A number of new parts were added, including new stainless, fenders, and extra lights. The paint was redone also and you’d never know that the truck has 2.7 million miles on it looking at it today. Power comes from a C-15 CAT pushing out 550 HP and paired up with an 18 speed and 3:21 rears. Jesse says it rides on a total of 15 airbags on all the axles, including 7 under the cab. The wheelbase sits at 333″ and the 2007 Double Eagle bunk is powered by a 3 cylinder Kubota diesel with a 12,500 KW generator. The Shirey family now uses Igor as their family motorhome and the sleeper features all the comforts of home! They enjoy taking Igor to various truck shows and he always draws a big crowd of people wanting to check him out!!
